This team is playing their first full season ever with a mostly freshman roster and the polls are saying there are only 17 teams in the United States that they believe are better.
From that perspective it's an impressive ranking.
Personally, I hope I get to see us play against the teams ranked ahead of us. I believe we're going to be pleased with the results. I'm very proud of this team.

I get the hesitation, but only losing 4 games all year, don't care who u are. We'll see soon where we at, but believe me, we gonna be a force, people love what the Last Tigers are doing.

This old man has become a huge softball fan. Usually take my Tiger Paw flag down after football season, but proudly flying it for the girls. Did you ever notice that Clemson athletes, female and male, are better looking than our competitors?

I love what they are doing in their first full year but let’s understand one thing. Much of our success is based on Valarie Cagle. She is a superstar who pitches almost every game and is a monster at the plate. The other players are good but Cagle is the difference maker. Without her we would likely have a winning record but not top 25 material

I agree about the dominant play from Cagle, but the rest of the team plays good defense. Centerfielder threw out a base runner at home this weekend that was a beauty to see. Gilstrap makes difficult plays at short as well. They have some timely hitting from others and contributors from the bench (eg Johnson). This could still be a team in the top 3rd of the conference without Cagle’s pitching being so dominant. Regardless, I would guess all the top 15 teams have similar situation with a dominant pitcher leading the way.

with a throw from right field, where she happened to be playing in a game where she wasn't pitching. That arm can throw overhand as well as underhand!

Cagle is a major difference maker and in softball, one dominant pitcher can go a long way. I think they are legit top 10 - 15 which is amazing at this point in the process. When/if we see FSU in the tourney that will be a great test against a top 10 program who has won a national championship. Has anyone watched Oklahoma? They’ve hit almost 100 home runs which is double what Clemson (and almost everyone else) has hit. They just run ruled #8 Texas in 3 straight games. Them and UCLA are on a different planet than anyone else. Our Tigers are doing phenomenal and I think we may see some high profile transfers want to come here. Big game this week against u of sc.

Oklahoma is in a different stratosphere right now, my God. Watched them yesterday, wow. They are over one hundred cause they hit 4 or five bombs
