He is leaving Clemson this week after working 32 years in Clemson Athletics.

BillyD has done a tremendous job in every position he held at Clemson. The Lettermen's club was needing some new blood and he came in and did a great job of getting several to get back involved....with the new person taking over...it will continue. I am hoping that the person that takes over is one that should be. It must someone that is close to the Clemson athletics and understands things that need to be done to increase donorships among the former players.
I will miss BillyD in the AD office but hope to see him around the town from time to time and at games!!

to my knowledge it is not official yet...see my t-mail to you. I was at the morning meeting, the reception, and the dinner.....it was never announced...He is considered a frontrunner and I for one hope he is the one that gets it. Football will always be the strongest in the group due to the number of players vs other sports and donor wise they give a lot of money to the athletic department with baseball and golf donors following. More football players are members of the organization too. Bob will be a great one to carry on what BillyD has done.

I have known Bill personally since 1986 when he was a Grad Assistant on Coach Ford's staff. IMO, he lacks the personality and the business acumen to serve as AD at a school like Clemson.
