The perfect time to relive the pass from #4 to #13. A moment we'll never forget and may not be topped in Clemson sports history. I'll always remember that chilly night in Tampa and the euphoria that overtook all us Clemson fans in the stands, way up in the nosebleeds, just a few rows from the very top. Me, my Dad and my brother. I grabbed the shoulders of the woman next to me (complete stranger, decked in her orange attire) and shook her, yelling WE DID IT!! Thankfully she was also laughing and crying and didn't care that a complete stranger had just grabbed her by the shoulders, but I digress...
The final drive will always play out in my head. The late CJ Fuller setting it up with a nice return. Mike's circus catch. Leggett's outstretched arms. Deshaun knowing it was good as soon as he let the ball fly. Renfrow's little ball flip to the ump. Even the recovering the onside kick afterward; a little nod to the previous year's matchup. It was surreal, every way I remember it.
It was a classic. One for the ages. And it belongs to Clemson.
There's no program quite like Dabo Swinney's Clemson. After years of building around a unique philosophy, the Tigers finally won the national championship.
