Luck or Skill? Which is better?

Dec 28, 2018, 8:04 AM

Some folks always say that it is better to be lucky than good because when you’re just good things can still go wrong, but when you’re lucky things always go your way. I've thought long and hard about luck. Here's my thoughts on luck.

"Luck is the last dying wish of those who want to believe that winning can happen by accident. Sweat on the other hand, is for those who know its a choice. So, decide now because destiny waits for no man."

Go Tigers! 15-0 National Champs! Dream With Me Baby!

Our country won't go on forever, if we stay soft as we are now. There won't be any America because some foreign soldiery will invade us and take our women and breed a hardier race.

First off I'm not ready to proclaim us National Champions. We still have to beat the Irish, and as the saying goes Notre Dame has "the luck".Still, it is my take that "skill" will win you national championships, whereas "luck" might win you a close game, but never a game in which you are being blown out. I liked our chances before the loss of Dexter, still do, but now we may need a bit of "luck" to pull this one out.
It's going to be "alot" closer than the 10 or 11 points Vegas has placed on this game.

Skill and hard work have a way of creating Luck.

'There are two things which don't hold out in life, luck and bullchit.'

For a single play I’ll take luck. For an entire game I’ll go with skill every time.

Someone tole Gary Player he was lucky after winning a golf tournament. Gary replied, " The more I practiced, the luckier I got."

As we have seen, it sometimes takes both to win a championship.

Luck is a loser's excuse for a winner success

It takes skill

To put oneself in a position to capitalize on a lucky break. Even then, luck may only narrow the gap...skill will close the deal.

Having the desire to not lose will overcome luck and skill. As The late Dale Earnhardt’s dad told him. Son the man with The fastest car don’t always win. It’s the one that refuses to lose. Give me the player that hates losing everytime
