That the number one team in the country who has rolled over everybody couldn’t score a touchdown against us, but y’all actually think Pitt is going to score 30??? If that’s the case they should end the CFB season and just give Pitt the trophy because they’re the real number one lol, but I guess it’s part of the times people these days have to cover themselves in all the bad while forgetting about all of the good (defense). Anyway go tigers BV hasn’t forgotten how to do his job and contain a kid he’s already dominated twice

the defense Clemson had on the field against Georgia looks a little different today due to a litany of injuries caused, at least in part, by the friggin' offense being unable to sustain drives and get the defense off the field.

BV has shown he can game plan without generational talent, how second string guys would be starters anywhere else, plus it’s hard enough to go against BV one time but this will be the third one BV has game planned for Pickett he’s not going to carve our defense up and the only game their rushing game has been decent was VT they aren’t a complete offense like everyone thinks when you look up their stats

If you really believe this is worst team in 30 years you clearly forget the West years. Even with our current struggles we're light years ahead of most of those teams.

One can certainly argue that this year’s OFFENSE is the worst we have had in 30 years. The stats certainly back that up.
It’s mind boggling that our offense is this bad given the elite talent we have.

I totally agree! +1 I will say that team confidence seems a little shaky, or something else that seems to be causing busts with the offense. I hope we finally put on our "Big Boy Pants" and get out there and play some Clemson Tiger style football for a whole game. Do that, and we win handily. JMO

Your right, their defense is but hasn’t stopped them from scoring over 30 on every power 5 school they’ve face with a backup QB but couldn’t score a touchdown with their first string guys against us

NC State and Syracuse both scored two TDs in regulation against our defense. Why didn't our defense prevent them from scoring TDs like we did against UGA? Do those teams have better offenses than UGA? Because I hate to break it to you, but Pitt has the best offense we've seen all year. And it's not even close.
Pitt is 5th
UGA is 48th
NC State is 53rd
Syracuse is 63rd
GT is 66th

Our D has been depleted with injuries and is getting beat up because it is having to play 3/4ths of the time instead of 1/2 or 1/3 thanks to our” 3 and out” offense. So as the season goes along, the ability for our D to sustain the domination it hiding that first game is decreasing. And our O is not increasing.
At some point the D won’t be able to hold a good team to just 14 points. That means our O will need to put 21-30 points on the board to win. It is just the reality of the situation.
And by the way, Pitt is a good team. Not elite, but good enough to score 21-30 points on a weakened and tired D.
Our O better find some way to score some points this weeken our we will catch our 3rd L. Our D needs some assistance!

And yet they are still doing there job, BV doesn’t need generational talent to have our defense running on all cylinders, and I have full faith that he can gameplan against a guy he’s seen multiple times.

Huffer, the actual time of possession is we our average is only 5 minutes less in possession than our opponents but it still makes a difference.

Face the facts that Georgia's top wide outs and tight end were out for our game and despite the fact that we shut down Georgia, we are only the 50th ranked defense in the country now. The $64,000 question is whether the struggles of the offense has affected the defense or whether our defense has weaknesses also.

Given up yards yes but have held teams from scoring which is why we are 2nd in scoring defense. Georgia’s backup QB had put up 30 on every other power 5 they have played.

Mj, love the enthusiasm but valley is spot on. We'll know more after Saturday's game imo. Depends on who is back and ready to play from injury on D. BC and Cuse aren't that good. Both their qbs missed a few "layups" since that's the new buzzword, and that was concerning... But we were missing studs. Cautiously optimistic.
