Important Portal Dates and Roster needs

Isn’t there an important portal date coming up in May? What are Dabo’s stated player needs for the team? I know that Bama has to shed players. The next month may be crucial for football.

School must be notified by May 1 their intent to transfer in to be eligible to play this season. According to Tnet, we have 77 of the 85 scholarships.
Seems like we could benefit from picking up a couple oline interior as well as a slot receiver.

from the Feb signing class not on there. The LS is not on there either. We had 1 open scholarship post signing so if no one else leaves, we have 2 open I believe with Rayburn giving up football. He will likely go after a Center transfer if there is one he thinks can help, maybe another OL as well but my guess is the 2nd one goes to best walk-on if he thinks someone coming out of spring is deserving.

Tnet is sometimes delayed in updating, but the 22 class is included in those numbers.

I don’t know who is missing, but we definitely have enough open scholarships for a couple of portal guys.
Other interesting points to consider:
- the SEC has a rule that if a player doesn’t transfer by February, he can’t transfer to another SEC school (unless he sits a year).
-Georgia has lost a lot, but they must lose 4 more.
There has been some concern voiced regarding some baggage with the available center. Unsure how bad that is. I also like the 5-star OT Mimas, who has 3 year’s eligibility remaining (he was Georgia’s highest rated recruit in 2021).

websites whether it be tnet, tci, TI, whatever. I've complained about it for years but never seems to get fixed, not sure why. Really annoying.

Its easy to understand why it always seems to be outdated. Basically it is a full time job to update every time a player quits or transfers or a W/O gets put on Scholarship. Then the new recruiting class have to get added an those leaving early need to be removed. In the case of the walk on did they get a one year or one semester deal or is it a four year deal.
Said differently its complicated and time consuming.
