What happens if Texas and Oklahoma got rejected by the SEC since they already notified the Big 12 that they are leaving? Would they look for another conference to join or try to use their status to lure schools from other conferences to start a completely new one with them ? (Could be powerful if they convinced certain teams to join them).

If they got rejected they would stay in the Big 12.I don't think the conference can kick them out.

They would not have already told their conference if they were not sure the SEC would accept them.
