Name a top stupid thing a liberal

Dec 5, 2022, 6:46 PM

relative or friend has done recently.

I'll start.

Girl in school with no money whatsoever, living on loans and going deeper in debt. School in Philly and she's from ATL. Got married last summer - tried to make money on YT by making videos about their life (they were horrible and she never got enough views or subscribers). Already fat and gained 50 lb this semester. Emotional dumpster fire. Husband home sick. If all that is not bad enough...they just got a 'free' golden retriever that will prevent them from traveling over the holidays because it costs too much to board.

Key liberal themes included:
- Biden free COVID money reinforcing irresponsibility
- Life centers on social media
- Deep seated self-confidence problems
- Lack of willpower, as evidenced on several fronts including to not overstuff your face
- Bad decision after bad decision - cannot think critically

Only an underexposed idiot would not get the layers it would take. Basically you. It would take thousands of people, keeping a secret, to kill some of the most powerful people in the country, which wouldn't even be needed for war, to achieve what a moron like yourself believes. Of course they would all have to stay quiet about killing thousnads of Americans. For what? You're an idiot

You need an insane asylum for a short stint. I can assure that most of what you believe is absolutely functionally insane. You're nuts. There is not even a slim chance of what you believe about 9/11 is factual. That alone should make you question yourself. You're nuts. That's okay, but fact.

Dec 6, 2022, 7:39 AM

I’m not an engineer, not even close. I’ve never paid any attention to all the alternative stories about what happened. But I , in my engineering ignorance, remember that very day thinking how odd it was how those buildings came down. I still remember my wife that first day saying “ that looks like one of those controlled implosions”. She didn’t mean that it was and was not even thinking it was. She just commented how very strange it was.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

It actually didn't look anything like a controlled explosion

Dec 6, 2022, 8:16 AM

Millions saw the 2nd plane hit the tower live. Zero doubt that the towers were hit by planes.

I watched it happen live and was surprised that the towers didn't fall immediately.

For a building to tip over, there has to be a horizontal force. The horizontal force of a plane hitting could do it, but after it didn't then there is no more horizontal force.

The horizontal force of the plane certainly damaged the building columns at the base of the structure weakening them. Think of a wrench. The longer the wrench the more force on the nut. In this case the higher the plane hits the more force at the base. We call this a moment.

If only the columns on one side are damaged and fail, then the building weight could shift over. Now the weight is a bit off center and it can cause a small moment which could in turn cause the building to tip a little as it collapses. This is called a p-delta moment and it works the same way as the plane "wrench", but the wrench arm is only the horizontal distance between the old center of gravity of the building and the new center of gravity of the building caused by the weight shift. You could actually demolish the bottom columns in a way to tip the building over, and I'm sure that this has been done before for some reason.

In controlled collapses it is very important to have all the base columns fail at the same time. That way there is no horizontal load caused by a p-delta weight shift.

What happened in the towers was that the column up high were damaged directly by the plane. Steel behaves horribly when heated. Fire will destroy a steel building easily, that's why we fire protect steel columns and don't fire protect concrete columns. When the towers collapsed they pancaked. The wight of each floor collapsing added to the weight above. Newtons second law, force = mass x acceleration came into play. The force on the columns below were increase by the weight of each floor accelerating. This greater force caused the columns below to collapse. Basically as the tower was coming down the force was now great enough to make all of the columns fail together.

That is why it looked like the top of the building was riding down. Since all of the columns were in failure mode there was very little resistance and it came down quickly. A controlled collapse would have been slower.

We were watching it on TV at my office and I told everyone that those towers were going to collapse.

I am a structural engineer and have done many fire reports and have investigated and reported on quite a few building collapses as well.

Re: It actually didn't look anything like a controlled explosion

Dec 6, 2022, 8:28 AM

Ok good info. Thanks for explaining. Again, I avoid the conspiracy theories on 9/11 because that would mean we live in a country of unthinkable evil. The collapse just looked strange to the untrained eye but you’ve explained it well. How about the 3rd building that wasn’t hit but still collapsed in a similar manner? Just heat from the other buildings weakening it? That’s the one that gets people asking questions.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

That's some well-worded BS. Don't even know where to start.

No high-rise steel structure has collapsed due to fire

Dec 6, 2022, 10:43 AM

before or since... but 3 in one day. By the way WTC7 was 47 stories and at the time would have been the tallest high-rise in 33 states.

According to the news broadcasts of the day, it collapsed 20 minutes before it actually imploded. NIST still refuses to release their second 'computer modeling' for independent review. Their first one had to be abandoned due to blatantly obvious flaws.

As a licensed professional engineer, I agree with Neal. Hot steel gets weak very quickly. We saw the collapse from a distance which 'homogenizes' it somewhat, so in some eyes it could look controlled.

Great, we finally agree on something! As a professional engineer myself, Neal is right and here is just one shot of WTC7 and the fires in it. I saw a video on one of the documentaries, it was a raging fire in WTC7 with no water left for the sprinklers in the building.

those that were responsible will be punished for it. Those that are irresponsible will gain from it.

It's the democrat way.

Need a larger welfare check? Have another kid out of wedlock.
Want a smaller welfare check? Get a part time job.
Want a bigger loan for college? Go to a private college.
Want an even bigger loan for college? Go to a private college out of state.
Want a lower SS check after retirement? Become a Wall-Mart greeter.

Re: SS will become means tested

Dec 6, 2022, 7:07 AM

See, means testing for SS really concerns me and ticks me off. I’ve never made huge money but I’ve made decent. I’ve lived below my means my whole life, have been 100% debt free since age 43, saved and invested extremely well , and said no to myself when it came to most luxury items. Now I’ve done my part. To hear these clowns talk about means testing makes me furious. They took my money for SS. It’s money I would have saved and not wasted. Now I want what belongs to me when I retire and I don’t want it going to someone like the lady I mentioned who actually brags that she’s never saved anything and doesn’t have to because the govt will take care of her. She makes more money than me and always has !! We are the exact same age of 58. Now her retirement savings is zero and mine is well over 7 figures. Is it fair that I have to keep her irresponsible butt up for the rest of her life? She’s driven very nice cars, taken many amazing trips around the world, etc, etc. Man the democrat mind just grates on my last nerve.

The things you linked are all "liberal" actions?

Dec 6, 2022, 3:22 PM

They just seem like being young/wrong priority actions.

I guess you can randomly apply "liberal" to anything you find distasteful, but you'd be wrong.

- Biden free COVID money reinforcing irresponsibility

Trump, if you are still cling to the wrong idea of him being a conservative, started the whole "money give away". And I'm not sure you are aware...it ended 2 years ago. BTW..What were your thoughts on PPP loans and COVD tax credits? How'd she live on $4800 for 2 years?

- Life centers on social media

It's a good thing no "conservatives" do this.

- Deep seated self-confidence problems

Its a good thing no "conservatives" have this problem.

- Lack of willpower, as evidenced on several fronts including to not overstuff your face

Its a good thing there are no fat "conservatives".

- Bad decision after bad decision - cannot think critically

itero

Back to my point..this has nothing to do with liberal vs conservative, but more about simply being young.
