DJU simply has turned out to be a very pedestrian/average QB in College ball. No matter how many times he moves, the body of evidence is clear: Clemson's defense will devour him when they play. All DJU needs to do is throw ONE interception, and he'll fold. I've always witnessed his lack of mental toughness. Physically he has the tools, but if he makes mistakes, it's over. FSU in my opinion WILL eventually bench him, and let's hope he doesn't skip to another college, establishing himself as a "gypsy" or a vagabond QB. He should have stuck with baseball instead of football for a career. (He has a great arm for pitching). Nevertheless, I just don't see FSU as the ACC Championship team, not by a long shot. FSU will probably finish 9-4 at best, with possibly 8-5. I know a lot of National forecasters don't want to see Clemson re-emerge as a Natty contender, but hoping and a praying that that Florida State can get back to the "Bobby Bowden" days, and that Miami can wake up the echoes from the "80s" and the "1990s" is wishful thinking at a ridiculous level. This "anybody but Clemson" attitude will only serve to be futile this year (2024). The Paul Finebaums, the Josh Pates, the Rick Neuheisels, and the Desmond Howards of the world will downplay any Clemson football accomplishments because of their personal problems with them as a football power. Unfortunately, this won't change anything. Their obsessions with Florida State and Miami overtaking the Tigers football prominence will only serve to be a pipe dream and
a distortion from reality.
