Is it me or is anyone else having deja vu

Same comments about player hurt, offense will improve, wait till the fall, defense is too good, this is all the same stuff we all said last year this time. I feel the definition of insanity coming on. Doing the same thing expecting a different result. This team with DJ at the helm looks exactly like last team. Defense is stout. Oline thin. It just feels like a repeat to me

I’m ok to wait until the Fall to see how DJ looks then. In the meantime we have better options behind him. Defense will be fine.

the OL is weak again. I like our RB room but a couple of injuries there and we are toast.
We aren't a championship team but I think we'll be 10-3 or 11-2 this season.

We had a lot of missing players (20) which accounts for some of the deja vu. Plus, DJ had not progressed as much as we had hoped. But...Cade is just 3 months out of high school and already shows a lot of promise (certainly more than Taisun Phommachanh did in last year's spring game). I'm keeping my hopes up.

Well, the declaration that “DJ is definitely our starter” is concerning. Last year we did not have another option, this year we do. All can see, Cade will get better .. it was only his first scrimmage. We’re going on year 3 with our “definite starter” and yes, deja vu for sure.

I think that is coach speak to the highest degree. Dabo, and anyone that watches transfer portal era football, knows that DJ being 2nd will equal an immediate transfer. Dabo needs DJ to stick around as long as possible for Cade’s development and depth.

The deja vu I’m having goes back to the spring of 2018. Hope that continues through the season.
