I absolutely love summer time but is the Earth getting closer to the sun or Is the sun getting closer to the Earth??
Could the sun actually go out one day like a lightbulb does?

Yep, we lose a minute a day and thus in July we lost 30 minutes of sun Light.
Now dark at 8:30 pm~

Not in our life time, so I wouldn't waste any time about us going dark and freezing solid. But if the leaders in this world don't very soon cut way back on green house gases, the population will most likely be cut in half or more from some of the worst diseases even known to man!!! Life on earth is on a very thin layer of the O Zone that blocks out most of the radiation from the SUN!!!

Actually the sun is about 30% brighter and discharges that much more than energy than it did billions of years ago when life formed on the planet, yet the climate then was similar to the climate now.
Scientists believe life itself and the carbon cycle life provides is the buffer that keeps us from burning up.

I had a similar concern that one day Lake Erie will completely empty into Lake Ontario...so I immediately bought two plane tickets from Columbia to Buffalo for my wife and me to go see Niagara Falls before the water runs out. Stayed at Embassy Suites on the Canadian side with a view of all three falls. It was amazing, close call, but there was still plenty of water flowing.

The Earth's climate has changed 100s of times in it's history. We are on the tail end of "the Little Ice Age" and the climate is changing to warmer, but not because man controls it but like all other times GOD controls it.
The climate change scare that infests the US Department of Education, Hollywood, the universities, Big Tech, MSM is all about making the USA commit suicide because they think the country does not deserve the prosperity it has enjoyed. And believe me that without fossil fuels that suicide will happen and it will be credited to Donald J Trump.....I promise you that Russia, China and India will not be so stupid to follow this path of destruction.
I have heard it said that weak men create hard times, hard times create strong men, strong men create good times and to complete the cycle good times create weak men. We have had it good for a very long time. Are y'all ready to hand it over to the Climate Believers?

The sun is a star and like all stars it will eventually die. That won't happen for another 7-8 billion years. But no Earth is not getting closer to the sun. However when the sun begins to lose energy and die it will expand. It will become so large that it fries Earth like a twig. Not to worry friend , surely humanity will have been long gone by then

the sun is actually a giant flashlight held be Zeus. We can't see him because he is sitting criss-cross applesauce directly behind the "sun" from us. We have night because he is changing the batteries. It takes 1 bazillion of those square 6V batteries.
