Doubtful.
I see the ACC forming this bogus "alliance" with the PAC and getting a 20-25% bump in revenue that will "propel" us up to somewhere just below $50 Million per team. We'll get that and we'll like it.
I can foresee a time when the remaining non-SEC, non-Big 10 teams are forced to breakaway and form a conference to maximize revenue. It would require 8 in the ACC to break the "lease".

This ain't happening. The ACC seems much more interested in keeping things a little more local for all that nonsense. Besides the SEC and BIG have also started to grasp that with just those two leagues their content will get boring quick. And neither of them wants little ole Clemson to come in and dominate their league

With other conferences making less than half the B1G or the SEC, it WILL happen. They will be forced to.
These schools are left with 2 options-
1. Take 40-45% of what the B1G/SEC make.
2. Breakaway and make 75% of what the B1G/SEC make.

Clem, a 24 team league is just the ACC adding a few, dropping a few(will not happen) and having a 12 team conference. Your 23 team league needs another member to have equal 12 team conferences.

Cutting back on the dead weight in the ACC for football will be critical towards closing the revenue gap. I just don't see the value though in partnering up with schools out West to achieve that. The top football programs in the Pac and Big XII should simply partner up and do the same among themselves.
For us, let Ga Tech, UVA, Duke, Wake, BC, and Syracuse form a separate football division and add 3 new eastern programs that they can schedule, along the lines of a USF, Memphis, UConn or something.
That would leave Clemson, Miami, FSU, Va Tech, Louisville, Pitt, UNC, and NC State as a standalone division, then add West Va to fill it out, and we have a solid, nationally relevant group dividing the football spoils 9 ways instead of 15+. Keep all the other sports tied together and schedule a few cross-division games annually for history sake.
Kids don't all want to spend their college years attending and playing in either the deep south or midwest. It's critical to preserve viable eastern and western opportunities for the long term health of the whole shebang. I feel like the ACC has those strengths today within its midst to accomplish that, but as it's structured now it's just spread too thin in ways that drain interest instead of building it.

I dont know how I feel about this. Losing ESPeNis is a risky move. To many, what they say is the truth. ESPeNis will have no incentive to talk about or promote the B1G. Its like we won't exist. B1G will get 2 minutes of highlights on sportscenter. On the other hand, getting more money and games on local networks will be good. Crazy times.

The BIG plays the most boring football on planet earth. OSU has been toting dead weight for years now. It was inevitable they had to add some programs that bring excitement, or at least the potential to bring excitement, to an otherwise pedestrian league.

If ESPN has the Playoffs, they have not lost their grip.
The reason Warren voted not to expand the playoffs is because it would have extended the playoff contract with ESPeNis. The B1G wants the playoff contract with espn to end and then it will go to the open market. I dont know if Fox will outbid espn, they will end up sharing it somehow, or some other company/network ends up with the rights.
