Is Clemson basketball tournament birth automatic into the ncaa tournament?

Is Clemson guaranteed in the ncaa tournament? Or do they have to win a game in the Acc tournament to get in? I must say I am proud of Clemson basketball this year. And believe Clemson has what it takes to make sweet 16.

The winner of the ACC Tourney is the only "automatic" bid.

With our record this year, we SHOULD receive an "at-large" bid, but those do not go out until the results of all the conference tournaments are in. What we should hope for as Clemson fans is that there are no major upsets in those tourneys. If a great team gets upset, then they would be in line to receive one of the al large bids, meaning someone else could get left out.
An underdog winning a conference tourney and getting an automatic bid to the Dance is what sets March Madness apart from every other college sporting event. You can argue whether this is good or bad, but no denying it makes for some VERY compelling conference tournaments.

Losing in the first round of the ACC Tournament might drop us to a 7 or 8, but we'll still 100% safely be in.
If we do well in the ACC Tournament, I think we could rise a few seeds though.

Is this a real question? No, we are not "guaranteed" in. Neither is any other team in the country that hasn't already won their conference tournament. The only guaranteed entrants right now are Liberty, Morehead State, Winthrop, and Loyola Chicago.
But, we will be in without a doubt regardless of our performance in the ACC Tournament.
