If Clemson ever changed conferences, I’m not sure the SEC

or B1G would be ideal. They have the obvious cash which is attractive, but maybe we can consider the Sun Belt Conference. Here’s why:
1. We would probably always go undefeated in conference 2. Probably get to play 4 out of conference Power 5 teams 3. One of them would be South Carolina, an SEC team 4. Clemson wouldn’t have to be bothered with overachieving ACC teams AND 5. South Carolina would lose to a Sun Belt team every year

App St knows how to beat Michigan which is a moderate achievement and we all know CC beat Kansas.
That’s big time

You scream at the waitress? That shows that you are unhinged and violent.

You are probably a nice person but you aren't being rational. Why would we change conference when the ACC is getting stronger? Put down that Jimmy bean and post with some sense.

The ACC is garbage. Clemson's figurative arms are getting more tired from holding up the rest of the conference than the Tiger mascot doing pushups at the South Carolina game.

We have won three natties by being in the ACC and CBS said that we have the toughest schedule. We have beaten all the big boys while being an ACC team and we still can. I am an ACC fan and will be until my old a$$ is gone. If Clemson wants to leave, I will back them but I will be disappointed.

I have made the same point a number of times regarding the conference Clemson University was in as it hoisted the 3 National Championship trophies! Only to be looked at with "glazed over SEC-eyes"!
The problem with the talking heads is: "they listen to each other; get one narrative going and take it for gospel truth"! The fact however as Golden State proved in basketball recently is: that "talking heads are often wrong and far from the guru on certain subjects"! They often have agendas behind their points of view - which "soft-headed-groupies" will absorb and start regurgitating back in things like message boards as "best practice"!
Some in the SEC have in fact stated "Clemson has an advantage playing in the ACC"! But, do you all know who has put the 2nd most players in the NFL since 2000 is behind(yes) the SEC? It's the ACC! Not surprising to me; as the players generally come from the same place many of your SEC players come from minus a whole lot of Texas and Louisiana. In other words; I kind of feel like; if 10 ACC schools were ranked top 10 in the preseason polls( much like SEC schools get ). When those same ACC schools started "picking each other off" as it has been described: "those teams would 1. not drop out or far in the rankings, 2. the rep for those schools goes up as this super-tough football school. 3. It would likely become a self-fulfilling thing once the hype started.
For now; as you stated - Clemson has won 3 out of the ACC how many has SCAR won in the SEC? Or Vanderbilt? Or some others - not going back to the big 8 days(talking to you Arkansas).
If "ECONOMICS" dictate a move; that's one thing. But, the idea that it should happen to better the chances of the football team is not accurate as the 3 National Championship Trophies demonstrate rather loudly.

closest to the recruiting grounds. Recruit players out of Florida and Georgia that want to play USC, UCLA, Ohio State, Michigan, etc. And also recruit the Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, grounds for kids that want to move to the southern weather, but still play against teams from home. I think the BigTen would be the best option for Clemson

I love your thought process here!
I could just about see that work like a well-oiled machine for all the reasons you gave too!

Don’t think many 4* and 5* kids would want to play in the Sun Belt. Clemson would merely fade away into the sunset.

Why would they not?
I see college football taking a bit of a hit as a result of the NIL madness soon!
Perhaps, Clemson is just right in terms of NIL money and a good opportunity to actually get an education and get into the NFL!
But, I get what you are saying about the 4-star and 5-star kids. My question: "can Clemson afford them anyway"?(booster money).
