Maybe all will keep donating at their present level?
Inflation is coming again, most of yall kids don't remember the 70's and what that means.
My belief is that until the NIL and the Portal settle, and folks understand it all, donations will not increase, may even shrink.
Can anyone post as to $$ to $$ where our money goes.

Did some research --
On October 16, 1931, Clemson suffered a surprising 6-0 loss against The Citadel. After the game, Captain Frank J. Jervey, Head Coach Jess Neely, assistant coach Joe Davis and Captain Pete Heffner met in a car outside the stadium to discuss ways Clemson could help its football program get back on track. The meeting started the ball rolling towards the establishment of the IPTAY Foundation.
I don't back that far, but do go back to when it was "I Pay $10 a Year".
The organization was first established as a secret organization and initial membership dues were set at $10.00 a year. (I Pay Ten A Year) Many had suggested that $50.00 be the minimum donation, but Fike’s foresight thought it would be best to get as many Clemson supporters involved as possible, so he established the $10.00 minimum.
2021 ended with $76.3 million, so those old boys have made a huge difference.

My father joined in 1933 when he graduated from Clemson, was alternate captain of the 1933 football team. Luckily he added my mother to it in 1956 (when you could) we have been a member ever since but will lose all of our points we have built up over the years when my mom passes(she 97). Some of the stories dad told me about those times are drilled into my memories for ever. The times Coach Howard meet us in our hotel room during alumni day, Coach ford staying at our house while on a recruiting trip to my high school in Loris. Clemson is worthy of everything they can raise in my eyes….Go Tigers

I guess there are just dozens and maybe hundreds of TigerNet readers that just can't live without worrying about NIL and the Portal. Bottom line, if you go to football games, have season tickets and enjoy parking, you will continue to give to IPTAY. NIL and the Portal are realities and have not ruined college athletics and neither have anything to do with IPTAY.

I give to IPTAY because I loved my experience as a student and enjoy going to the games. It makes me feel connected to Clemson and brings back fond memories. My wife and I met at Clemson and both of our children are also graduates. Attending the games, tailgating and having a parking spot to do so as a Clemson family is a big part of the reason I give. I also enjoy the idea of supporting athletes who also love Clemson and who are appreciative of their opportunity to be there. Naive I know, but I’d like to think that the majority of scholarship athletes would choose to attend Clemson even if they didn’t play a sport. I’m happy to think that my contribution helps that happen.
However, as the campus footprint grows bigger and bigger and the high profile athletes seem more entitled than appreciative, my connection to the Clemson I remember is waning. There may come a day when Clemson becomes unrecognizable and no longer brings joy when visiting. When that day comes, I will no longer suppprt the school or IPTAY because they will no longer represent Clemson to me. They will have destroyed it. Thankfully that day is not today and perhaps, hopefully that day will never come.
There is something special in those hills, I hope it survives.

Highly correlated. More kids going into portal and inflation has followed. And yes correlation is causation.
