You do realize that, due to covid rules recruits from 3 years ago could easily be more than half the roster? Are you actually ####### complaining that we have one of the best rosters in college football because recruiting might have not met your perception last year?

Your point? We’re 2% higher than the best of our two most recent national championships and for all the consternation about the portal we’re tied for fourth amongst these schools in transfer impact. Try as you might cobbox the stat holds.

Would have lost bets on this trivia question. Too bad we haven't reloaded like 3yrs ago over the last couple yrs. The no-contact and no on campus officials really hurt us the last couple yrs as far as star ratings. But maybe the staff found the diamonds as the 7-on-7s were not happening either which often rank players up or down. I think we are solid,, this yr needs to be a CFP year to show recruits where we are still.

This stat illustrates a point that, even as it is waved in your face, people refuse to accept. You can’t “reload” when you already have reloaded and they are already crowding your roster as freshmen and redshirt freshman. I don’t know why so many Clemson fans are vested in believing that it’s all over - but the talent on the roster is elite and next year’s class is elite. Sorry the flameout hasn’t happened yet so you can pat yourselves on the back for calling it.

I never said anything except our star rating fell last couple years based on the fact that Covid caused issues. I also that hopefully we found diamonds, guys that may have been rated higher if all the Skill & Drills like 7-on-7 had occurred over last couple Covid yrs.
Take your negative nancy stuff somewhere else because what I said was far from negative. I guess saying too bad our star rating wasn't what it was 3yrs ago but that doesn't mean we got less quality players. It is just nice to see top 5 classes vs top 20 classes but with the Covid caveat, who knows the true star rating.
I 100% think we have great players that buy into what Dabo is selling. While its great to see 5* beside a guy, I never once said our staff recruited poorly. That's your narrative you manifested somehow out of my comment.

Here's why - because your assertions, no matter how amiably worded, are false.
"too bad our star rating wasn't what it was 3 years ago"? If you mean 2020 when we were 2nd? That becomes the standard?
Here's the last 5 years in order per Rivals: 8, 9, 2, 6, 10. In 2021 we had the most freshman and sophomores on the roster since 2010. Is it really shocking that 2022 wasn't our best recruiting year?
There has been no falloff in our recruiting. Our five year class average going into the 2022 season is the best ever. The four year average going into 2022 is second only to 2021, which had the most underclassmen since 2010. Those are the facts.
