Wonder what percentage of calls on the field are overturned?

Also wonder how many times officials just make a call knowing that if they’re dead wrong, it’ll be rectified after review?

I know there are lots of opportunities for mistakes when human beings are involved, but I just have a feeling that when they knew they had to get it right, the officiating was more decisive and probably much better overall than it is now.

I agree that officiating today has become very lazy.

A grown man (especially a guy with a National reputation) that tries to fake who he is (fake accent) is flat out mentally defective. There’s something truly wrong with him. An eight year old tries that, not a 50 something year old man.

It actually needs more tweaking and additions. I never want to go back to depending solely on the referees to get calls right.

Slows the game. THat hurts the game. It kills momentum. I like getting calls right, but at teh expense of down times is something to think about. And as far as lazy calls . . .just call everything a TD and it will be reviewed :(

Officials will not make certain calls and blow the whistle to stop play if there is any doubt. They know the replay can sort things out. So that aspect is probably a good thing. But I do agree there are too many reviews holding up the game. Something has to be done.
