-1 and done on 2 of those appearances

I'd say it is commendable considering that he has

the opposite of a home-court advantage in Littlejohn. I grew suspicious when our best season under him was played in Greenville, but the UVA and Duke games solidified it for me this year.

Littlejohn has been a very tough place to play under other coaches and will be again under a different one. People had already grown weary of Brownell the year that we played in Greenville. As far as I am concerned, the argument that there is low crowd support at Littlejohn is one more for a coaching change.

I’ve heard Mike Gminski, say many times that Littlejohn was one of the toughest and most underrated places to play. And he was always on Charlotte radio when he said it.

Clemson doesn't care about basketball....as evidenced by Brown-L getting 14 years.

It was when Gminski played, and Clemson took down #1 Duke in early 1980.

Used to want him gone until he got on twitter and called a walk-on and his family poo poo heads. It kind of reminded me of the fire Rick Barnes showed vs Dean Smith.

I say give him another year and let’s see how this goes. I think he is right where he thought he would be at this point in his tenure. Year 13 is the year we get in position 1-4 in the conference. To be be prepped for this renaissance I also hope the admin tacks on another 4 years to his contract. Rumor is he is a hot commodity and I want him to feel like he is being appreciated by the university and the fans.

know what to say. This deep seated, predictable mediocrity has been obvious for at least 5 years. Clemson basketball under Brownell, with rare exception, will always be mid-pack. Period. We know this beyond a shadow of a doubt. We can double check it and confirm it. This is not news. The big mystery is why have the powers that be decided that Clemson doesn't deserve better? Blackmail? Hallucinogenics? Mass hypnosis? Some deep dark conspiracy - the BOT has been infiltrated by coots? It really is baffling to see one of our major athletic programs driven this deep and hard into the ground while the powers that be stand by and pretend everything is okay.

Amen bro. I think and have said more than once, Brad has had a powerful person at Clemson that has fought to keep him. I am also saying that person has given up now and the BC game was the straw that broke the camels back. That person went under the alias name of Judge Keller. I believe you will see a change at the end of this season. If this does not happen it is in the lap of Neff only.

Clemson basketball has always consistently been average, with occasional glimpses of being better than average. No coach moved Clemson to above average and kept it there.

Not Foster, Ellis, Barnes or Purnell.
4 coaches got Clemson to Sweet 16
1980, 1990, 1997, 2018

People need to stop thinking that Clemson was "better" years ago. ACC from finishes by coaches:
Barnes teams finished 6,6,4,4 out of 9
Ellis teams finished 6,7,2,7,6,1,7,9,7,7 out of 8 or 9
Foster finished 4,2,6,5,4,5,6,8,8. out of 7 or 8
Purnell teams finished 9,9,9,8,3,5,5. Out of 9 (12 last 2yrs)
Brownell teams = 4,7,11,6,9,7,12,3,8,9,5 (out of 12, or 15 for last 8 seasons)

Know your facts and history
Brownell may need to be replaced but he didn't bring Clemson down from any lofty position

The only time the ACC had just 9 teams when Purnell was here was his 1st year. There were 11 teams his second year and 12 after that.
