Okay, but we know where this is going.

95% of the problems due to this will be in the communities that do not need any more of it...

exactly, if you are going to commit crimes in this country, it is better to be rich so you do not have to rot in Jail. Because everyone knows being rich means you are innocent.

for minor crimes, I think it is good to allow the judge discretion to lower bail, or in some cases eliminate it based on a person's ability to pay and their risk to the community. I mean there is nothing in the constitution stating that we are all treated equally under the law except when considering socioeconomic status.. I realize this is a tough concept for some to grasp, the actual meaning of equality. I also hear from conservatives that poor people are that way because choose to be. If that were the case, does ""choosing to be poor" mean you should be issued a completely different set of circumstances when dealing with our criminal justice system? That does not sound like equality to me my friend. And besides, who likes to see rich cocksuckers get off charges because, well, they are rich cocksuckers, eh?

I, too, am a bit skeptical about this, but I would point out that bail is intended to assure that people show up for their trial - while over 95% of charges are plea bargained without a trial so . . .

the way to lower your bail to zero

is to not do the crime not be broke. This won't end well, that is for sure.
