Impact freshman?

Who do you think will be our most impactful freshman this season? Do we see a freshman starter by the end of the season?
My thought is Shipley as impactful but not taking the starting spot by seasons end. I see the coaches using his skill set in the flats.

I think there will be three or four freshman starters probably before the bye week. 1-2 on offense and 1-2 on defense

I don’t see Shipley taking starts from Dixon. Dixon has proven himself a true Clemson man. I do think Shipley could take a handful of snaps away but Dixon will be starting all season.

Briningstool? All the osterine in the world couldn’t get him in the starting lineup as a freshman. Dude is stick-like.

I think mostly skill guys make noise from this class meaning rbs and wrs. The ultra talented lineman types will take more time. Maybe the LBs make noise as well but remember in BV system it’s very difficult for young LBs. Maybe page at DT and Leigh on OL but again difficult positions to make noise early, guys like Hyatt and bresee and Murphy are exceptions to the rule.

Briningstool, Page, and one or both Collins. I expect Mafah to be key in a situational role at some point. Who knows really, I'm just basing this off of coaches comments and practice reports. Shipley sure sounds like the real deal though.

Hopefully, Andrew Mukuba at safety, we're already hearing a lot of great things about him. We won't win a NC with Turner and Zanders starting.

Surely you don't mean we can't win with Turner and Zanders at Safety? Glad someone else realizes this. Both seem to be good young men but run like they have pianos on thier backs. Too slow to provide over the over the top coverage called for in BV's scheme. Need more athleticism and speed at this position which is the last line of defense. Time to recruit upper quality at thks position. This is the year to see what Conn can do. Like I've said...may be time to end the Friends and Family Plan.

No we can win games, but I don't believe we can win a NC with them starting. It's not just Turner and Zanders. 3 star guys like Spector and Venables are taking reps from our more athletic younger guys.
