Wake and Hartman will attack them…hope we can get that fixed bc it has been an issue for weeks not against terrible opponents

100% correct. Hartman is accurate. The formula to attack clemson is quick throws. It negates the dline. That’s what furman did. Can’t get pressure on a quick passes.

The Wake offense is a slow mesh rpo style.. not quick slants.. which is why we matched up well last year they didn’t have time for their plays to play out our defense was all over them. Also unless their defense is much better we ran with ease last year. I don’t think there’s much to worry about

Hahaha, this is meant to be funny (I hope)! If not then let me help you. Clemson was playing it's 2nd game in 5 days. The team was lethargic for good reason. Furman coaches knowing this put this plan in place and their players executed for the most part flawlessly. Had this been a normal week, with normal preparation the results would have been very different. So this game especially defensively throw it away, because noone will remember the stats or the score for that matter.

I will say this, most all of the busted plays I have seen over the last two games happened in the vicinity of Sheridan Jones and Tyler Venables. Jones I hope will get better with reps. Tyler is just not quick enough imo. He knows where to be most of the time, but not quick enough to be there.

The secondary will be fine if the D-line lives up to its billing and starts putting more pressure on the QB. I do not think our D-line did a very good job on Furman's QB, as he seemed comfortable all day. I am guessing that we are saving some blitz packages for some of our better opponents.
