That basketball game right there has played out how many times over the course of 11 years?
I've said it before. This team under this leadership absolutely has been consistent .. not inconsistent. It's groundhog day, every season.
The thing is, it's PERFECTLY OBVIOUS that our teams under this leadership HAVE NO EARTHLY IDEA WHAT THEY'RE DOING AT THE END OF A CLOSE GAME. Nick Honor's shot was horrible. He shot too soon and in a rush, and obviously he had zero confidence as he chucked it up. I don't blame him at all though; I blame the leadership who is responsible for instilling confidence in his players. Clemson players are "confident" when they are comfortably ahead in games, but when the game is on the line they get Tight with a capital T. I don't mean this in a derogatory manner, but they look like a bunch of YMCA 12 year old kids with the game on the line.
Our guys are CLEARLY (especially after 11 years of data) unconfident and very nervous during close games. In basketball, like baseball, you MUST BE loose and confident. When the game is on the line, we ain't confident.
It should come from the leadership and be coached into his guys.
Brad is a GREAT guy and a genuine down-to-earth Clemson man.. but if we ever want to be a somebody in basketball, we MUST make a change.
Now I know what some of y'all are going to say.. "we still have the NCAA tournament".. And obviously we all hope for the best.
However, unless we get super hot like we did with Gabe D a few years back and just blow everyone away, then we will inevitably wilt in an end-of-game situation.
We might win one game in the tourney. If we get lucky, then two. Anything less than two, and please, it's time for a new direction.
11 years provides A CRAPTON of data. The data is the data, or as the common phrase of today says, "it is what it is".

That's the first 1 possession game we have lost all season. We were 4-0 before this one in those kind of situations. This team reminded me for the 2017 Gamecocks who went 9-3, but if you looked closer they were 5-1 in 1 score games so you knew it wasn't sustainable.
