I’m sorry but you got to be

Feb 14, 2021, 1:20 PM

Kidding me. Tell me how many fans listen to this dope. Really trying to pull in a new audience I guess. Keep going further down with this to me.

Is NASCAR still popular?

Feb 14, 2021, 1:36 PM

I thought it had lost a ton of viewers and sponsorship over the last 5-10 years. Is this an attempt to make it seem cooler?

I used to be a big nascar fans for years but haven’t really paid too much attention over last several years but always liked the 500. Was just shocked at the grand Marshall pick but then again it shouldn’t be that surprising with the way it has be moving. I would have rather seen Michael Jordan as the grand Marshall.

NASCAR is a dying sport. The new generations don't care

for it and it shows in their numbers every year. By 2030 it'll be back to nothing but dirt tracks in the boondocks.

well and they got corporate and ditched a lot of their long term mall track tracks. Old fan base is dying off too.

I quit watching Nascrap over 8+ years ago. I haven't missed it and I just don't care anymore. This, from someone who used to love it, watch it, and kept up with it back in the day.

When they concentrated on the announcers rather than the race, that is when they lost people.

I used to play in my grandparents yard with amongst other matchbox cars the 88 Gatorade Darrell Waltrip. Watched religiously for years and years. One of my favorite memories was Terry Labonte winning Bristol without a hood. Then they took North Wilkesboro. Rockingham. One of our races at Darlington. That was the beginning of the end for them even though they thought they were better than ever. Crap on your base? Welcome to INDYCAR with fenders. NASCAR died long ago and may it RIP

He’s a Florida guy, owns a team now

and I believe is a pretty good dude. His politics probably aren’t the same as many NASCAR fans, but don’t know why that should really matter. Always good to expand ones perspective.

It’s simple. NASCAR is a business and it’s not trying to expand its horizons. It’s a failing sport who lost its core and unable to attract a new audience. I said if they had any balls they would have asked Trump to be Grand Marshall. That would probably have given nascar better ratings than the super bowl! NASCAR needs to go back to its base to save itself.
