I'm really tired of hearing from fans saying refs did

not affect the game!!! Our defense shut them down but on 3rd down the refs allowed more yards and points to go in Pitt's favor. If you all can not see that then that is on you!! Also the time of possession and opportunities Clemson would have had to score all went away.

Refs kept them in the game and made our margin for error razor thin... our guys lost the game... period! 2 picks in EZ and 2 tries at 1 yd

Refs definitely affected the game, but they didnt lose the game for us.

Things happen. We didn't execute when we had too and the refs did not affect that. Should we have been in that situation, maybe not.. but we had the chance to win and couldn't get it done.

The Clemson football team lost the game to Pitt with strong assistance of the coaching staff.
That being said--be sure that the referees made several very bad calls that broke to Pitt's advantage and the Tigers' regrets.
The interference or DB holding call on Pitt's last touchdown drive was awful. The holding call on Thompson on a great reception and run by Mike Williams was equally bad. On several plays with Pitt throwing, there was obvious holding right in front of the head ref and he ignored same.
As to the coaches, who decided to run the ball on 3 & 1 and 4 & 1 when we made virtually zilch all game. If we weren't going to throw it, why not pooch kick it out near the 10 like Duke did on Thursday PM. Finally, DW4's last int. was thrown into triple coverage; why??? His first was thrown into a non-existent window as there were 2 receivers and 2 DB's within 6 to 7 yards of each other.
We wasted a very good chance to lock up a spot in ACC Championship game yesterday and lots of folks contributed.

Of course they effected the game and the lead official graduated from South Carolina, how that is allowed is terrible.
