I'm never going to cheer for a president to die, like him or not. He has a little boy. And I don't know we would be better off. We'd have to listen to calls for his martyrdom along with a wide array of conspiracies and calls for civil war with his imbeciles claiming the "libs" intentionally infected him.

He needs to be voted out legitimately by the American people, not die of a virus.
Huge difference for the American people, and the direction of the country. The American people voted him in; they really need to be the ones to course-correct and vote him out...and as you have pointed out, we really do not need Donald Trump to become a bloody martyr. He needs to fall...and people need to see him fall. And the GOP needs to be made to face the consequences of his style of leadership and the fact that they aided and abetted it.
Get well soon, Donald. Really. America isn't nearly done with you yet.

we've progressed pretty substantially in treating this virus. he'll get the best treatment our health system has to offer from the best medical team. irregardless of your opinion on a sitting president of the United States, those are simply the facts.
there's certainly a non-zero chance he croaks, so I'm sure a lot of people around the globe are excited and will express said excitement throughout the media and the socials (case in point, here).
kind of sad we are at this point...
- significant faction of this country is excited the sitting president may croak, and has platforms to vocalize it and turn the algos into overdrive, fueled by the media and people with "platforms"
- significant faction of this country is crushed b/c the one person they feel is fighting against the establishment has been infected by this ####
- rest of us normal people not wishing ill on anyone and hanging on to this glimmer of hope that this country could somehow come together before dissolving into another civil war (hope is diminishing by the day)
it will be interesting to see what comes out of it if he beats it.
