supportive Clemson basketball fan all these years. I remember Skip Wise, Tree Rollins, the Grant brothers, and many more since then. I’ve even held season tickets in my fandom tenure.
But lately I’ve felt some measure of disdain towards Clemson basketball. I’ve done some internal reflection on why that is. It has nothing to do with CBB, assistant coaches, coaches salaries, current or past players, the transfer portal, ACC tournament wins, NCAA tournament appearances or wins, facilities...including abundance or lack thereof, or even past ADs and their influence.
So I’m at a bit of a loss as to what it could be. ??

I think it is because another sport has been a lot more successful in December and January. Plus there now seems to be an odd thing with a bunch of yankee schools showing up randomly on our schedule.
Plus I blame everything with the current atmosphere an LJ on those darn grey seats. uggg. Nothing like a big grey block highlighting apathy for every non-UNC/Duke game.

I am just glad this team has the courtesy not to stretch the season, it does little more than distract from football spring practice.

Both Horace and Harvey came to Clemson together for their Freshman year (don't remember the year now) when Cliff Ellis was the coach. Harvey transferred out to Missouri (I believe) for his Sophmore year due to lack of playing time.

Gee BONWPurp ..... you botched that up pretty bad!
Horace and Harvey both came to Clemson in the mid-80's when Bill Foster was the coach. Bill did not realize that Harvey could play, so he transferred to a junior college and then went on to Oklahoma where he became an All-American!

I believe it is simply that we have accepted mediocrity and the Football program is at the top of the mountain.
