For those of you who aren't boycotting the NFL...

Jan 23, 2022, 10:55 AM

It should be a great day for the NFL. Who do you have today?

Rams vs Buccaneers ......I am going Rams on the road.

Bills vs KC....I am going with the Bills.

Who do you think wins these games straight up?

What is this nfl thing you speak of? ??

I read that as NIL .... which I would like to boycott.

Any boycotting should be with the NBA. They act like their woke but they share a bed with China and the almighty dollar.

I support the NBA. China is a huge market. If we are boycotting every business that works with China we would have nothing in the US. GM and Ford would be out of business as would all of our tech companies. Anyway....who do people have in these games today?

Like I said, I am going Rams and Bills. How about youz guyz?

Re: For those of you who aren't boycotting the NFL...

With the upsets yesterday I feel like we will see chalk today.

That said, I think the Rams are “better” right now than TB, with injuries, but I would never bet against Brady if I had to put money on it.

Chiefs seem to always find a way, Josh Allen has to prove some consistent, during the regular season it was always a great game followed by a stinker.

Chiefs and and since I’m not putting money on it, Rams.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Since no money is involved I will take you up on it

Jan 23, 2022, 11:23 AM

and take the opposite two. I like to pull for teams that might get former Clemson players a ring.

I believe in the Rams, but that Bills vs Chiefs makes me wonder.

I am not betting, but I would go Rams and Bills if I were .

Bucs and Bills...btw the NFL is currently better than it has ever been imo...these young qbs and wrs are making it a lot like college but in a grown man type of way...and the old guard (Brady, Rodgers etc are as good as they've ever been)

Re: For those of you who aren't boycotting the NFL...

Jan 23, 2022, 11:34 AM

I agree. There are so many great young QB's on the rise. It's great. I really enjoyed those games yesterday. Speaking of which, Higgins needs to get stronger. That guy gets the ball knocked out too much. He is already really good, but if he gets stronger he will be great.

I am not boycotting the NFL .However since my Cowboys shot them selves in the foot with Dept. Barney Fife's single bullet( The Andy Griffith show) my season is over and I am having to look for old movies to watch or wait for the golf coverage cause I don't give s $#!+ about who gets to the Super Bowl.

This franchise is another good example of "money and ego do not = Super Bowl Championships." Until there's a change in ownership, the Pokes aren't going anywhere.

Cowboys seem hopeless. They are so close to being the real deal, yet seem so far.

I like the buccs and bills today. Wouldn't mind if la won either. I like Stafford and to see him finally succeed outside of Detroit is pretty cool. Just hoping for good games and not the blowouts like last week.

I’ll be watching the games but being a lifelong Dolphin fan who recently has begun just pulling for the team with the most Clemson players on it I don’t have a lot of feelings about todays games either way. Would probably pick Bucs and Bills.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Finally, the NFL discussed without snarkiness

Jan 23, 2022, 1:03 PM

Hoping for Rams vs Bills.

I think Rams and Bills as well.

Chiefs and Rams... though I was originally inclined to go with the two favorites (Chiefs and Bucs) today to offset the two underdogs winning yesterday but going with Rams since they have experience beating the Bucs earlier this season.

It’s interesting that all the NFL’s wokeness went away as soon as the senile Biden was elected. I guess they don’t know they helped elect a lifelong racist

I doubt all. Nothing like the divisive alternative national anthem that even black people don't identify with. I think most black are pretty darned proud to be Americans and the NFL sends a message that they shouldn't be which is a mistake.

Re: For those of you who aren't boycotting the NFL...

Jan 23, 2022, 2:05 PM

I won't root for the Bucs as long as Brady and/or Gronkowski are on the team. They irritate me. So I'll be in the Rams camp for that one.

I hope whoever wins this year is a first-time Super Bowl winner. So I'll probably be rooting for the Bills, Bengals, and Rams in that order.

Re: For those of you who aren't boycotting the NFL...

Bucs and Bills. Not betting against Brady. Know they're banged up but he has won with far less talent than he has now. Bills really impressed last week vs Patriots.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: For those of you who aren't boycotting the NFL...

Jan 23, 2022, 2:27 PM

I think Brady is still very good of course, but the team around him is banged up. Rams fo sho. I wouldn't mind witnessing greatness and being proven wrong.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Rams and KC straight up. Dunno spreads and too lazy to look up***

Yesterday's games were great. The NFL is generally headed in the wrong direction however. The majority of NFL fans are now over 50 years old. This younger generation only wants to play video games on Sunday. They don't watch football so why the NFL promotes their politics is a dubious business proposition at best.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I'm guessing you could say the same thing about most sports

Jan 24, 2022, 9:38 AM

and probably most traditional forms of entertainment. There are just far more forms of entertainment now than there used to be and the younger generations are into different things.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: I'm guessing you could say the same thing about most sports

Jan 24, 2022, 11:00 AM

you would be correct. The current 20-40 year old generation are not likely to have meaningful group activities other perhaps tawdry orgies.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I'm not boycotting --- just don't care ..... I

Jan 24, 2022, 11:05 AM

watch a quarter or a half but really Don't care ......

I like to see the Clemson guys do well - and will probably watch mare Jags next year but I don't ever plan my day to see NFL......
