Finish 2nd in the Atlantic with a decent bowl win.
Also blow out the Coots and finish top 10.
How will you feel about this type of season ?
I guess I will be a little disappointed because last season was so fun.

With DW it's going to be hard to beat Clemson but it's also hard to go 14-0 2 seasons in a row.
I think if we do go 14-0 we will win the 15th this season.
Everything is lined up for another Championship year.

I doubt we would lose more than 1 game this year. I am just trying to imagine the two losses. Maybe DW turns an ankle and has to sit a half and we lose a game that we won somewhat close last year.

Oh if we come out flat and turn the ball over vs Auburn.
They have the talent to beat us and Louisville will be better than Auburn.

DW carried the team on his back. A twisted ankle where he couldn't play the 2nd half and there would have been a loss in a few of those games.

Bust. With the qb we have, in his last year, anything less than an acc championship and a playoff berth would he a bust in my book. I know that may sound harsh but the talent on this team is unreal and we have the best qb in the country leading our team. I think that would be a great season next year while we break in our new qb.

out of the ACC Championship game almost certainly. If I had to take one loss, it would be to the Drooling Johnsons in Atlanta. Then, we would have an opportunity to avenge that in the ACC Championship game, if they made it. But, with a healthy DW4, and defense as good as I think it will become, when we get by Auburn I think we go all the way without a loss. Think Pawsitive!

for the life of me i can not figure out how people sit around and figure out ways we are going to lose games. at some point we got to get to the mentality that we are going to kick everyones a$$ we play, no doubt. we have entered a new era where defeat is not a mindset. hE!!, even when hatfield was here i could figure out a way that we were going to win every game.

While every poster believes 15-0 is possible, think about how many teams have repeated an undefeated season in the last two decades. This feat is extremely difficult, indeed rare in the history of college football. Since WWII Clemson has had three such seasons. Losing a single game somewhere is entirely possible.
We have not won at Ga. Tech or FSU for at least a decade and UL certainly will be vastly improved.
I expect one loss and likely one in our division which means a likely second place finish and no ACC championship. A 12-1 season is entirely possible and although I would be disappointed, I would understand the outcomes. Hope our luck against injuries holds out. We need to temper our expectations and enjoy any unexpected positive outcomes.

albeit slight a disappointment nonetheless.
This is assuming we don't have a bunch or KEY MAJOR injuries/suspensions
I mean we were extremely close to winning the national title missing our best CB most of the game and arguably our #1 & #2 WRs. So assuming we're 100% or close all year then i expect to make the playoffs and win.

We have to win the NC. I don't care what you post here on Tigernet or how rational and emotionally detached you attempt to be regarding this team, if you're really honest with yourself you'll be extremely disappointed in anything less than a National Championship. Of course it won't change my love and passion for all things Clemson but it will be a deep and nagging pain...

There are a lot of teams that only dream of going 11-2. It's not a disappointment when you're talking about 18-22 year old players who put it all on the line every week and anything can happen.

we came within 5 points from winning the national title LAST YEAR in a year where we were "AHEAD OF SCHEDULE" and not expected to get that far..............this year, has been pegged by most fans (including myself) as being "THE YEAR" for a few years now

The scenario that you presented would disappoint me ... and yet I expect 11-2 (at the worst ) for this team, but getting there with an 11-1 regular season record. With only one loss to #1 FSU we would be a playoff team and lose the opener for the final 11-2 record.
