Clemson still outside top-5 of Coaches Poll
Clemson stayed No. 6 in the latest Coaches Poll on Sunday, where Alabama strengthened its lead (63 first-place votes) ahead of Georgia (1), Oklahoma, Oregon and Texas A&M. Usually, the SEC has the highest ranked one-loss team, two-loss team, etc. but in this early poll, none of the 5 ranked one-loss teams are from the SEC.

That is easy to understand because none of the other SEC were ranked that high preseason. The early wildcards in the way to soon to think about Playoffs are the Big 10 teams that are 2-0. Way too soon to disregard anyone.

Counting OU, the SEC can claim 8 teams in the Top 25 at 2-0.
When each of those teams lose a game, they will become the new top 1/2/3 loss team.
Count on it.

Right where we need to be ,the only team that goes undefeated this season will be Bama maybe OU.
UGA will lose a regular season game and then to Bama. The Tiger D will shut down every team we play this year . The O will be good by mid season because of the weapons we have .
We still make the CFP but who knows how we handle those games ?

T a&m will lose at least one game, drop out of top 5. OU will probably lose a game;they always seem to choke on a game, somewhere. Uga vs bama will not change anything, the loser will still be in the top 4. Im hoping, and that's really a stretch, that the acc north champ will be ranked fairly high and we blow them out. That might give us enough. Either way, im going to watch this season, hope that our OL grows exponentially, DJ grows into a champ, and cheer them to whatever happens.

My thoughts exactly. Don’t disagree with any of the rest but from what I saw A&M is barley a top 15 team.

Not bad. If Georgia and Bama have 1 loss max, Oklahoma, and Oregon win out, we are out. Thats a lot that has to go right though for those 4 teams. I don't think Oklahoma wins out though.

We are 2 games in. Relax. It is a long season. If our Tigers don’t correct some of our offense deficiencies we will drop another any way. But all of those teams at least drop 1 outside of Bama maybe running the table.

Just looked up Oklahoma's schedule. Not much chance they are going to lose a game, as best I can tell. Much like our schedule. We can hope Florida can be UGA. Texas A&M will lose to Alabama and probably someone else (lets hope), Oregon has several opportunities to lose (UCLA and Colorado are two that I see). Of course, with our offense, we could lose a game (or more) too. There's a long way to go. Go Tigers.
