Why, is Brownell the new HC of Seton Hall, if not, what they do next year has not a thing to do with Clemson in anyway shape or form!!!

Shows what you can accomplish if you have the courage to replace a mediocre coach.

You might want to look up the location and history of Seton Hall as there is no comparison with our basketball program. I know you want to make a point which supports your narrative buy having to reach this far for it is embarrassing for you.

DING DING DING. This is exactly the point. If this coach can show he was worthy and moves Seton Hall up . . then it looks bad on us. Because . we could be doing the same, looking for more than we have . and getting better in the end.

PetesPoniesI think you've made your point pretty clear. Brownell's not a Clemson alum. You are. Brownell is a highly compensated mercenary and has had 12-13 years to succeed. He has given it his best and has been largely professional, average and uninspirational. And Clemson has made Brownell an 8-figure multi-millionaire despite many excuses and little ownership of the program. Good for Brownell for cashing in.
And yet, some on TNet act like you're not a Clemson man for believing Clemson can do better. I say B.S. to that.
I am with you. Clemson can do better. I'm as ready for a new HC you are, as are most Tigers fans and alums. I have been for 7-8 years. But it looks like Neff, Pres. Clements and the BOT want to give Brownell another year. A wasted year. But not the end of the world. Go Tigers! Soc Howell, Class of 1984

And the bad thing about that is . . we've heard this story before. Does anyone really think Brad will be under scrutiny next year to see if the team is moving in the right direction? We've been cried wolf to before . . . hard to believe it. Thanks for understanding.

but it doesnt make us look bad...there are many just like us and Holloway may have struck gold just this one time. Besides, he wouldnt come to Clemson. He's a NYC/Jersey/Big East guy all the way.

They made the dance this year so it would be no surprise they made it again this year. Their new coach is an inner city coach, not a small rural Southern town coach.

But . .even though I'm done with Brad, I do love Clemson BB. We can have a competitive team. That's all I ask for each year, a chance. I was sky high when we were in the top half of a good ACC league. I just want that.

Under Brad, we do finish in the top half of the ACC on average.

So other than this year, which was an anomaly under him since we finished 10th out of 15 teams, you are pleased with the job he’s doing?

We haven't been that good. We've had a few star players and thus a few good teams. But I don't give Brad much credit for any of it. I haven't seen him take less and do more. Sure, what we have is less than say a Duke. But we're not performing anywhere near that. Again, not a professional Coach, but I did the BB coaching thing at HS. One or two good players can carry a BB team, even at the college level. We, over the years, have had a few top notch kids and they have carried us. I don't like the way Brad plays offense and haven't liked the defense in at least 10 years or so. There's different ways to play each. His "style" isn't mine. If he were winning, I wouldn't complain. Who am I? But when he is not winning, then the areas I don't agree with shine bright. So no, I haven't been happy with Brad. I've had hopes, early on and the decent years covered over the pain some. But it's not consistent, thus I'm not too fond of the style. Players come and go . . but if you have a good system, one that works, that will always be there. We have never had that. We ebb and flow with the ability of that one player who can carry us. Prove me wrong?
