If Scheffler continues to play this well

Apr 10, 2022, 6:28 PM

Ted Scott could make a million dollars this year. Pretty good money for a caddy.

Scottie is an impressive young man. I wish him and his caddy well. Great Masters!

Do you know if his caddy gets a percentage of the purse or a negotiated fee?

I’m pretty sure he gets a percentage. Ted Scott was considered one of the best caddies on tour. When he left Bubba he was planning to leave the tour and only returned when Scottie called him. I don’t believe he would have come back unless he got a good deal.

Scheffler has totally changed his routine on the greens.

When he first came on the scene, before he started winning, he used to waste so much time stalking putts, walking all around the hole, setting up, RESETTING, fidgeting, doing it all again, that I literally dubbed him The Human Rain Delay, and refused to watch him on TV.

I don't think it is coincidence that he suddenly started winning when he chucked all that crap out the window, and speeded up his play. It seemed like he had the old Bobby Clampett "Paralysis by Analysis" going on before that.
