I would have a sneaker room in my mansion. My fleet of cars would have shiny platinum trim and license plates with dollar signs on them , I would bring up all ma boys from the 'Rock and set them up as my enterag...entourij...enterage....as my boys and we would play Halo all day and skip mandatory workouts during the start of my first NFL season.

You just smell a bust coming with this kid. All that posturing about "injuries" and the complaining about his own coaches and the imagined "Triple-teaming" on every down during a season in which he simply did not perform. I know it, honest Coot fans know it , and whatever team takes a pick on him knows it but is hoping otherwise. The kid is not smart , will take bad advice from the wrong people and has a terrible work ethic to boot. I say again as I have before , within 5 years he will be out football and broke or well on his way to being so.

Interesting that Tajh recently said on the Jay Mohr show that no doubt Clowney should be the number one pick. I wonder if you boys would feel so.....what is the popular word on this board?.....yeah, "butthurt" (obviously a Clemson phrase from the military school days), if Clowney hadn't wreaked so much havoc on the Tigers every time he played them?

I respect Tajh's opinion, because he has been out there in the game. He's a warrior and he knows what he is talking about! I just marvel at these Tiger fans who refuse to give a victorious opponent any credit whatsoever, unlike the fine young men who actually play the game.

Difference between giving someone credit, and conceding to folks who just want to gloat.

I promise that I won't gloat until November 30! However it is, and has been for quite a while, obvious to anyone who understands football that Clowney is a lock for #1! I've said it before, and I'll say it again, Sammy very well may be #2, and quite frankly, deserves to be! I'm hoping that this state produces the top two picks in the NFL draft.....now that would be special!

I give him plenty of credit, he's a fine player

But the fact is he didn't 'wreak havoc' last year on us. He played fine the year before.
And I didn't see many GC fans giving us credit for beating a highly ranked team in a BCS bowl. They are also worth marveling at.

Yes, he was game-planned for, but you could just ask BV, if you don't believe me. You're right, it's a shame that GC fans are also reluctant to praise successful opponents and rival players. BTW, Clemson has played five outstanding games in the last 3 or 4 years, and I have been generous with my praise. The ACCCG win, LSU, UGA, OSU, and Auburn-big victories and well played!

I agree it would be super nice to have all that, but a rookie contract doesn't last guys long. Especially when you've been in college for 3 years and had to do without money and nice things lol. I think the question with Clowney is what ab the contract after those first few years? Will a team want to give him big money after he's experienced it and had all that handed to him. His last year in college would suggest not
