If Houston was smart, they would go ahead and trade DW4

Feb 8, 2021, 11:59 AM

for Tom Brady now while they have a chance.

That guy knows how to win Super Bowls. Just go ahead and back up the Brinks truck. Give him whatever it takes to get that million dollar smile in a Texans uniform.

But we all know the Texans management won't do that, because they are just dumb. Maybe the dumbest bunch of dummies in the whole NFL.

Why do dogs always race to the door when the doorbell rings? It's almost never for them.

Nope, they still don't have an offensive line. Brady would get killed because he can't maneuver like DW.

Brady's excellence and high level of performance is

infectious. Just his presence there would transform and uplift that o-line to a championship level caliber.

Brady is great without a doubt, but would he be taking Evans, Godwin, Brown, Gronk, Fournette, and a defense capable of holding KC to 9 points with him?

I'm not taking away from the role Brady played in helping Tampa win the Super Bowl, but I do think people concentrate fully on how Tampa went 7-9 last year and credit Brady fully with turning them into Super Bowl winners.

People overlook that Tampa finished 5-3 over their final 8 games last year, and those 3 losses included a loss in overtime, and a 3 point loss to a Houston team that made it to the 2nd round of the playoffs. Altogether, 6 of their 9 losses last year came by 7 points or less with 2 of those losses occurring in overtime.

Tampa was actually 3rd in overall offense last year, and probably would've been a playoff team had Jameis Winston not thrown 30 interceptions. So they were already loaded with a lot of offensive talent and then they added Fournette, Antonio Brown, and Gronk to it along with Brady.

I don't point all that out to take credit away from Brady. I only point it out for those who would say that any team can simply add Brady and instantly become a Super Bowl contender.

Brady joins Bucs. The Bucs win Super Bowl.

Not a coincidence.

They won their last 7 games after their bi week, then they soundly beat the Chiefs in the Super Bowl. That tells me that they used the their bi week to clean things up, and they started doing what they were good at doing with TB behind center!!!

Just a hair split but it's a bye week;

A bi week would be ghey.

That would look like a smart move,

Feb 8, 2021, 1:11 PM

until they had to play against DW4 in the super bowl. Tampa Bay is already a good team; add a great player like Watson in there and they become darn-near unstoppable. Tom's a good player but I doubt he wants to go up against DW4!

I agree, there is nothing worse than having a race horse that won't race, and if he does, he just gallops around the track, but you know if he would run, he could win!!!

I'm not a Brady hater but if he landed anywhere other than Tampa Bay this year he would not have hoisted that trophy last night.
Brady is no dummy and he new he was walking into a super team situation. Godwin, Evans, RoJo, Wirfs, JPP, Vea, Gholston, Suh, Barrett, David, White, Davis... Not to mention (to add insult to injury) Gronk, AB, and Fournette all climbing aboard after he signed.
Hats off to the GOAT as he deserves it but it would be a very different situation if he had to deal with that dumpster fire in Houston.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

You are right but Brady didn't just "land" in TB

Feb 8, 2021, 10:41 PM

He had the luxury and good sense to look at every team and select the best place for success. Wish DW4 would have held off signing the long term contract and he could've done the same as a free agent. But I guess he was promised input into future decisions that have not been given.

If Houston was smart, DW4 wouldn't want out of there - and they would be SB contenders already.
