What's being proposed makes no sense to me. The National Championship is supposed to determine the best team in the country; right? Well how is it possible to be the "best team in the country" if you're not the best team in your Conference? Seems to me, the best solution is to host a playoff between the Conference Champions of however many Conferences you want to include (5, 6, 10,...) and then declare the winner of that playoff "The National Champion." Any other solution will create even more confusion. Go Tigers!

Or, they could expand it to all 127 teams so nobody gets left out, eveybody feels included, and each team receives a trophy for participating.

Until every team is included there will always be an argument for expanding it, so this way we can just cut to the chase and avoid all the drama. :)

We all know that whatever they decide, the SEC will be the only conference that gains from the equation. It will be nauseating.

Why not just go to 8 with 5 POWER 5 champs and 3 at large. I think this is what ends up happening.

I really don't need to see all the Group of 5 champs playing in it. Why hasn't the Group of 5 come up with their own playoff and championship. Then when UCF hangs a Natty banner it actually means something.
