I guarantee you the first thing he would do is walk in to Brownlee’s office and fire him

They are all different skillsets (AD, HC, DC). It's possible folks can move from one to another, but it's more common that being good at one doesn't make you necessarily a good fit for another.

But he'd be quite young to make the transition from a competitive position to a purely fiscal/administrative one.

Being an AD is a retirement job for coaches. Dabo has too much competitiveness to sit behind a desk doing AD duties. Seems like a recipe for disaster.

Dabo would go hire his good friends Tony Bennett or Scott Drew as bkball coach.

Clemson would never pay that much for a basketball coach.
And no basketball coach of that caliber is going to come to Clemson knowing how poorly our administration and fans typically support basketball.

I said this in jest earlier this week. Maybe one day but I don’t think Dabo is ready to stop coaching just yet. 10-15 years from now, maybe.

remember was Vince Dooley at Georgia. IT is just way too much these days to do both. And I sure hope Dabo wouldn't leave coaching to become our AD.

Noooooooo! He is just fine at HC. Look at Cootville and Ray Tanner. Two time national champion, but a horrible AD. And they lost a good baseball coach when he became AD. No leave Dabo alone at HC. He's doing just fine there. Clemson will seek out a good AD.

I think given the influence we all know Dabo has he would install Don Munson as AD. Following this I believe Beth Mowins then takes over Clemson play by play duties. Done and done.
