If Clemson disbanded men's basketball, wouldn't the baseball team get 10+ extra schollies?

There's really no need to keep funding a ship that is not only sinking but sucking funds along with it. It has stunk forever and always will. Just end it.

I wish it did work that way. But no, baseball is limited to 11.8 schollys at a time. That’s why I’ve always said college baseball is the hardest natty to win.

Unless you’re some kind of private foundation endowment like a Vandy or something. Very unfair imo.

Not only does Baseball only get 11.8, I believe it’s still mandatory that every player get a minimum of 1/4 scholarship. This includes kids from very affluent backgrounds or dual sport athletes such as Kyle Parker. It was my understanding that Spencer Kieboom’s family wanted his scholarship to be given to someone on the team that was less fortunate than they were but the NCAA would not allow it.

That is not how college sports works

Also, basketball will improve and I think DRad is banking on that. If you listen to what Brad says after their meeting. DRad would rather try to win with the athletes best interest than to win the wrong way.

I can live with that.

Yes. That is why you often see colleges that don't have football teams with 92 scholarship players sitting on their basketball bench during games. It's also the reason Gregg Marshall would never leave Wichita State to come to a school that can only have 12 scholarship players!

What a Great Idea! We could disband football while remaining the undefeated, greatest of all time!! Spread the scholarships around among all the other sports. It will save Avenue of Championships, too, since I believe it far enough away from both Littlejohn and Doug Kingsmore to not pose a security threat. You, friend, are a genius!!

Can't happen for more than one reason***
