Why not ?Probably for the same reasons we have C.J. Spiller ,Mickey Conn and Tyler Grisham.
I think they call it "lack" of coaching experience ,or as I would put why would you want to replace a Toyota with a KIA?

I do think he has a future in coaching, but no way does he start his career as the DC.

If you want the latest rumor, it's Todd Bates (should BV leave). It would be good if Skalski came back in some capacity. He probably has NFL dreams he wants to test first.
