Miami loss will make the Tiger team realize that they have to play these big games at years end to the final whistle. Getting a big lead early means nothing if you let up and allow your opponent to out play you. That happened yesterday. Let’s see if coach BB can light a fire under this team.
The goal at the beginning of the season is to make the big dance. That goal has been attained. A BIG step for Clemson basketball. Now we will see if this team is capable of moving on. Let’s not totally give up on them yet. Yesterday is history.

The question now becomes where will the team be seeded. I'm thinking an 8 seed. Others say 7. Either way, Clemson is in.

Because it's true. While the selection process hasn't taken place, there is always a very clear list of teams that are locks for the tournament. We are one of them this year, with no doubt.

Yesterday was a game Clemson absolutely should have won yet they allowed themselves to get outplayed by a Miami team with only six scholarship players that played another game less than 24 hours earlier.
It's beyond frustrating

I totally agree. Yesterday’s game was a sure win and the Tigers let it get away. A learning experience at seasons end??? We will see.

I respectfully disagree. Why was it a sure win?
Clearly the Miami team has a lot of talent; their guards Lykes, Wong and McGusty are excellent and will likely give trouble to Georgia Tech today. Miami just happened to be the better team yesterday. Their 13th seed is a mirage.
Their was a huge mismatch with whoever Honor was guarding which cost us the game. Whoever Honor was guarding was taking him to the paint and just making easy jump shots over him. On top of that Honor was missing shots that he normally makes.
The only matchup where we had a clear advantage was with Sims, and I thought Sims played well.
Overall, I thought that our team played well and gave a strong effort on defense. It is not Coach BB's fault that the Miami team did not tire!! We did press their point guard throughout and contested almost every shot.

as was their shooting. Allowing an opponent to go on a 16-2 run simply can't happen in tournament ball. I wont even get into all of the stupid unforced turnovers.
Yet, in spite of all that, Clemson still had the ball with chance to win the game in regulation. So, Brownell draws-up a play. Honor drives the lane, takes the ball to the basket, but misses the shot. However, our biggest, strongest, most physical player (Aamir Simms) is standing at the top of the key with absolutely no change for a rebound and a put back, and Hall is on the bench.
Why !?!?!?!

Why can't you acknowledge that the play called resulted in a good attempt, and the player just missed it?
Do you think Simms was supposed to stand at the top of the key, or was he possibly coached to go for the rebound if Honor missed?
Why is it a big deal to you that Hall wasn't in the game? I'd prefer Baehre in that situation personally.
I agree 100% about the 16-2 run. We simply can't let that happen.
We also need to clean up the turnovers.

He had a decent look but if he's going to take that shot rather than drive and dish, you have to have the bigs underneath for the put back or to draw a foul.

Sims has gone on record to say the play was designed for the ball to be passed back to him but Honor felt like he had a makeable shot and took it so don’t blame Sims for being out of position
