Just think about this - this is the first year since 2005...

...that no SEC team will be playing for the football National Championship.

Raw probability ALONE should make it crystal clear that there has been some kind of non-football-performance-related external force influencing which teams are placed in the championship game. Add to that the fact that no SEC team made it during the FIRST YEAR that it was determined by their play on the field and I don't know how an objective rational person could conclude anything other than that the ESPN hype machine has been keeping deserving teams out of the championship game.

those in a row. I think the only year of the BCS that was total bull was the Bama LSU rematch year.

You are making my point - the SEC should have never had the opportunity to win so many in a row because the process for placing them in the championship game was tainted.

When the deck is stacked at the top of the rankings there's definitely am increased chance that there will be an SEC team that wins the national championship. I still swear by it, and this year proves it, there is a huge bias in polls that supports the SEC. Hopefully next year it will change, but I doubt it.

The ESPN bias machine was in full swing when the first...

But if it has been tainted that badly, somebody would

have knocked them off sooner. Unless you are saying they were also given a lesser opponent to make sure they won. This is just insane enough for me to support fully.

Notre Dame in one of those games. Give me a break.

One loss Oregon left out a few times.

Alabama vs. Notre Dame, for example??***

That is one I remember being stupid. But Notre Dame gets the SEC treatment too.

There are others too.

year we have a system that Team SEC said would validate them it actually ended up exposing them. Kind of makes you wonder who was really the best team in the country most of those years...

Yep, we never got a chance to really find out...***
