yeah that one mystified me unless he was hurt. I know he and Skalski play diff lb positions but I would have thought he would get in some after the targeting due to his experience

Played 7 DBs, 6 if you count Simmons as a LB.***

Clemson friendly media has been told to keep quiet on this, obviously will reflect poorly on something or someone, truth will come out

Saying it was simply a strategic choice

That was a terrible strategy to keep a 5th year senior out.

I honestly was expecting to see Smith come in at the beginning of the second half. Tell the LBs to play all out for a half and then bring in fresh legs for the second half to try and maintain pressure.
Waiting to hear the rest of the story.

He's faster than Skalski or Venables too. Even after Skalski was ejected from the game they put in Venables instead. There were a couple plays Venables was just standing around close to line of scrimmage not doing anything.
Also Pinckney didn't play a snap either. Simmons and Muse played good games overall, but the corners could'nt cover man to man.

I listened to the radio broadcast and Tim Bourret said that Chad Smith had practiced the WILL linebacker position all week for when we went to a more conventional defense and wasn't prepared to play the MIKE. It looks like we started out the game with seven DBs using Tanner as a hybrid-LB and had some success so we stuck with it. Once Borrow started carving that up I don't think Brent had much desire to revert to a more conventional package with less DBs on the field.
