scrapped and the money is put into football and baseball....make the existing arena a bit nicer but focus the dollars on the sports that actually win and mean something to the fans in the first place.

I'd vote for that. This team is embarrassing. I was a big Brownelll fan but it's hard when he just stands there with his arms folded. Pitiful performance!

The proposed arena will reduce seating, not add to it***

that pulls for Clemson during those sports. Speak for youself when saying "...focus the dollars on the sports that actually win and mean something to the fans in the first place." Some of us are Clemson fans in all sports and enjoy cheering on our Tigers, win or lose.

as much as football but in fairness we stink and for the most part have stunk our entire lives. If you only have so much money.....which Clemson does....where do you spend it....do you invest and hope that history of over 50 yrs changes....it's an extremely tough decision when you're dealing with limited funds and it's going to be an extremely tough sell to raise the money with lack of winning.

scrap the men's basketball program and put the $$$ into wimmins roller derby?
I have a feeling that we'd need a bigger arena though.

Good point. But I have to say one thing. Basketball does

mean something to Clemson fans. I think it is a sham that any coach that fails here: (not Barnes, Purnell) wants to think that the problem lies with the fans. Clemson fans are just as passionate about basketball as they are football. But when the program gets to a point that it is now, or when Shyatt was here, it is simply so dead, what is the use in even following it. I mean the team can;t even score points.
It is a cop out for coaches and those that support a certain coach to say Clemson fans don't care about basketball. That is simply not true.
