Orgeron may not survive this week

I don't see how you fire a coach like Jeff Scott or Norvell that took over at or right before the pandemic. You have to give them that year as a freebie

So there's a chance Jeff Scott could be back as Co-OC in the next couple of years?

Elliot isn’t going anywhere after this year.

I feel bad for Jeff Scott and said at the time he and his dad left that it would really hurt us at Clemson. There is no way to gage all the good the Scott's did for us but it was huge. I get wanting to be a head coach but USF was in a bad fix.

Scott should be given another year. Last year was a total mess.

Too early on Scott. He's the least tenured on the list, but #1?

Everyone else on the list makes sense, but why would the guy put a coach with 14 games under his belt at #1. It's almost like, "which of these doesn't fit?" on an IQ test.

He’s not on the hotseat. He’s in his 2nd year.

1 of which was Covid year. They have/are making facility changes that will improve their program. He’s changing the culture. All 4 of their losses have been to ranked teams and I’d say 2 of those they have outperformed in. They should win a few more this year. G5’s shouldn’t be getting rid of coaches inside of 5 years unless they did something to toxic or took over a winner and turned them into a loser. Neither apply in this case.

Jeff Scott doesn’t even make my top 20 list for hot seat.
On my list he is at 23.

No way Jeff Scott should be gone after his 2nd season.
Manny Diaz, however, should be gone after his.
Frost and Orgeron have to get fired.
Dino and Fuente should probably get one more year.

Thanks for posting.
This is a hobby of mine. Following the coaching carousel. (I came to tigernet 20 or so years ago following the carousel the year Clemson hired Tommy Bowden.)
If I were posting the list the top three would be, in order: Orgeron, Diaz, Davis.
Scott Frost and Dino Babers would be moved down because both teams seem to show slight improvement. Jeff Scott would not be on the list. Norvell would not be on the list. Walt Bell would be higher except for the fact that Mass may not care about football anyway. Jeff Brohm would probably be in the top 5. Niumatalolo would be higher.
I really don't know enough about the G5 schools to figure out how to rank the rest.
P5 schools I would rank: Orgeron, Diaz, Brohm, Brown (WV) as top 4.
G5 schools that I have an opinion on: Davis, Niumatalolo,
I suspect Cutcliffe may retire. I would love to see Adazzio on the sideline as an assistant at FSU next year, but I have no idea how hot his seat is.
