Mentioned cases started declining about a month ago in Florida. Hospitalizations started to decline about 2 weeks ago. Deaths, well, they HOPEFULLY are peaking right about now in Florida. This spike in deaths is what you see when hospitals are overwhelmed. A similar spike is happening in Idaho right now. We will see something similar in SC.
Note - This is raw data from Johns Hopkins of people who died from covid in Florida, as it's reported in real time. Florida delays releasing death data "officially" until they can do a thorough investigation to make sure the death is attributed to the proper day "> This process takes about 3-4 weeks to get accurate data, and less than 16% are reported within the first two days. Florida doesn't even chart the cases and deaths on their version of DHEC's website because they're...welll.....in about a month from now (maybe) the Florida data released by Florida's health department will show what this shows right now. Horrible what is being done there. For more context on this.....
As the delta variant spreads through Florida, data published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention suggest this could be the most serious and deadly surge in COVID-19 infections since the beginning of the pandemic.
Helps him win the short term media cycle in the hopes no one is patient enough to stick around and see the real data. And honestly the data from China is probably more reliable than what Florida and Texas show.
