I watched the pro-day.

Feb 12, 2021, 10:58 AM

I'm certainly no expert. Don't know all the nuances the scouts look for like footwork, timing, etc. And, I know he's throwing on air.

But, I looked at accuracy and arm strength. I saw him throw one incompletion - a slight overthrow on a fly pattern (that Powell may have caught if he had been the receiver). I saw him hit two guys on the sideline with perfect timing for them to catch it, toe tap and get out of bounds. I saw him throw one pass (20 yard in-route) where the receiver had to reach to catch it and could not stay on his feet. Other than that every pass was thrown where the receiver caught it in stride and turned up field.

Remember a couple of weeks ago where people were saying that Urban might pick Fields? Remember some guys saying that Zach Wilson is a better prospect?

As one guy said today, "Anybody who thinks Lawrence isn't the best QB in the draft - by far - ain't paying attention."

McShay said that there will be disagreement among teams as to who is the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th QB taken. But, nobody has any doubt that the gap between Trevor and those 4 is huge.

Thanks.

Several. (5 to 10)

All were on target, hitting guy in stride, except one which I mentioned in my post.

His last throw was a simulated scramble where he ran around planted his foot and threw a strike to the receiver, hitting him in stride, with a ball that covered 65-70 yards in air.

I swear, bretfsu is a better Clemson fan than many on the board that claim that they’re Clemson fans.

+1

Thanks for the kind words. I'm just a football fans who appreciates the program that Dabo, and Clemson, has built.

Clemson, for decades, has been my #2 favorite team.

I will continue to follow and root for them.

Thanks to y'all for making me feel welcome.

One more comment about pro-day.

Pros have to love TL's ability to run to his left and still zip a rope 25 yards downfield on target. And, he does it seemingly effortlessly.

I just caught a few clips, he looked like he did most of the year. his ability to roll out and throw across his body at full speed is impressive.
