I've been very critical of Dabo over the last couple of weeks about coaching hires, play calling and all sorts of things. I read this super classy post from a gamecock fan and we'll my heart sank. My inner man told me to shut the heck up and support my coach. No one makes perfect choices all the time but this post mad me proud that Dabo Swinney leads the football program at this university that I love. So I am going to shut the heck up.

I totally agree but it made me appreciate Dabo just a little bit more. Beamer is not Dabo and never will be. No one game win streak will ever change that so print that! Tweet that!

I think this Gamecock fan is the type of fan we are. Thank you for your response. I too as you were very much disappointed in what I saw from our team. We have become stale and soft to what we were use to the last two years. But we don't have the quarterback play we became use to over the last 10 years. I was always a fan in promoting from within and believed this was the best way to go. Now at the age of 81 and owning 3 companies have found that this can kill a company. If you only promote from within you will still be using ways used 20 years ago. Dabo is our coach we all love but I hope he doesn't get caught in this trap. A long time ago my mentor told me nothing ever never stays the same. Dabo I hope you see this and just think about it. You and I are like two peas in a pod.

That is what team sports are supposed to be about! It’s not just about winning all the games and the championships. It’s about building people up and making people better! If you do that then all of that other stuff comes right along with it.
