I was searching the internet to make sure my memory was correct about the 1995 Duke game where Priester had the single game rushing record. I was at that game is it was raining hard. The tailgate was sitting in the car until the game started. The only thing I found was this TigerNet post from a decade ago that verified my recollection. I wonder these posters are still around?
The morning was rainy/messy with temps in the mid 60's. We went into the stadium for the first half wearing short sleeves. Mid second quarter, the rain stopped and the sky started clearing to the west. The wind picked up and it was almost like you could see the clouds being rolled away. As the sky cleared, the temperature dropped - FAST! At half time everyone who had extra clothes in their vehicle got them and put them on. If you didn't have extra clothes, you stayed in your car or went home. Temperature was below 40 degrees by the start of the 4th quarter and the valley was almost empty.
Priester ran wild in the second half. Pretty sure he was doing it just to stay warm.
