He probably would but not sure the room has enough chairs. We're loaded. Feel bad for him.

"He couldn't beat out DJ"
makes it sound like he wasn't 4 months off of what is typically career ending injury AND a dislocated shoulder.

He couldn't throw the ball when he was healthy though

IMO he's never looked like a real QB prospect. Maybe 15-20 years ago you could've put him in a QB run-heavy system, but in the current CFB landscape you can't win playoff games without a legit passer.

Come on man, now we are defending former Tigers who transferred out of Clemson now?
True, he was hurt and came back quick but never challenged DJ all year.
And I watched the Wake game again yesterday which brought back old memories of QB play. We might not have had the best line and dropped some balls but a lot of DJ's problems were reading the field and simple accuracy issues even when he had time.
I love the kid but he's not a good QB.

I thought so too. But hufferbilly nailed it. Poor decision. You'll probably find quite a few qbs in the portal for 2 years now.
FCS and hope you can get into the 2 deep.

nothing wrong with wanting to play some football before going off to your career.
I think it shows maturity and self awareness.
Kids are a lot smarter than people give them credit for these days. The guy understands where his talents are and wants to play some ball.

This all the way.
Dude clearly wanted to go somewhere to play more and probably saw the writing on the wall -- can't blame him for wanting more than to be a backup if that's his belief.
IMO the O looked like it gelled and ran better with him at the reins but we'll never know what that would have looked like since he tore his Achilles in the spring and I'm sure the coaches (albeit appreciating having him back) saw that he may have not been enough of a difference maker to make the switch for a game.
Whatever the reasons, I wish'em well

With so many players seemingly stuck in the portal, I can't imagine leaving a stable roster without knowing a landing spot.

He is in the portal. We don’t know if he is floundering.

He could be speaking to a lot of schools. A lot of them could be FCS but would be surprised if he hasn’t received any interest in the mid-tier FBS and FCS.

I suspect he just said he was taller THAN Russell Wilson and the media misquoted him.

They would get Scotty to the transporter room. Sometimes he would have to pull those slidey things down three or four times before it worked. Sometimes they stayed sparkly longer than normal. Sometimes they were just lost forever. I hope this helps.

Would Dabo let him come back ?
I doubt it, honestly. We have managed the roster assuming he won't be here. Entering the portal should be equivalent to taking visits after committing as a recruit...it's literally the same thing.

I wish the kid no ill will, but decisions were made and we've moved on. Good luck out there Puma. And I think it would be a bad move for Dabo to let him come back. It would just encourage similar behavior in the future. It's sorta like breaking up with your conservative 9/10 girlfriend who was out of your league to begin with, thinking you are going to get busy with some less-than-reserved 5/10's and then finding out they are interested in you either. Sucks. But the 9/10 former girlfriend would be total idiot to take you back.

I just did the math though and calculated that 1/2 of all of Dabo's portal transfers have been of the "boomerang" variety! So maybe there's a chance for Taisun yet.

I would go FCS with a definite starting spot if Im in his shoes. Cant see many Power 5's taking a chance on him, even though to be fair we did not see a whole lot so Im basing my opinion on him being 2nd string behind DJ, and that was before the injury. Auburn maybe needing a few people before long maybe he lands there.

Why would he want to come back? When he left he was QB2, now he would be QB4 at best.

I sure hope Taisun had a realistic grip on how other teams viewed him.
Can't blame him for entering the portal, but he should have realized from the beginning the FCS was his destination.
He'll figure it out and be fine.

I would go to Furman if I had to play FCS. Still close to Clemson.
