My understanding is that Newton is an arrogant, immature, silly jerk!

I thought he acted like a punk spoiled child!

MVP - leader of the Panthers? Professional?
Nope.
Luke was just as devastated and yet he sat up there with resolve and commitment to get back into that situation and change the outcome. Leadership.
Punk is what he was. Grow up and be a pro.

Too many people defending the behavior. Sad.

Cam's obviously a leader as well. The entire Panthers organization has been built around him and look where he took them this year.

He doesn't owe you ####. His job is to play football, not to be a role model even though he's been a good one.

It's not about being a role model , it's about being respectful of your position. He is a pro ...he gives interviews win or lose .
He got upset and there was nobody there to remind him to be a pro . He failed at his job twice last night .

The same people excusing and enabling Cam Newton's immature behavior are the ones that attacked(rightfully so) Slurrier for walking out of the Press conference after the coot/Tennessee game in 2014. Both are highly paid, selfish, egotistical, spoiled and yes, filthy rich brats. To try and say Newton owes no one anything by being a role model is just lunacy. Their are at least 20 kids in my neighborhood alone wearing Newton's Jersey at $50-$100 dollars a clip.....you can't bask in the glory and accept the benefits of being a role model while stating he owes nobody sh!t....doesn't work that way.

I agree. If he won graciously, he would be shown much more grace when he fails.

The people that are bashing him are the ones that already hated him anyway....

I love it when pro athletes basically tell the media to **** off....

Too bad Beast Mode retired.

Lets face it Cam talked trash all year. He pissed off many players and when asked about it earlier in the season he said if they do not like it to do something about it. Denver stomped his tail and then he could not handle them returning the favor during the press conference. He showed sportsmanship by shaking Mannings hand but then acted stupid by walking out of the press conference. I hope Cam grows from this but if he thinks he can go out and taunt and rub it in the faces of other teams and them not react to it then he needs to take his 35 million and get out of football.

If he wouldn't have congratulated the Broncos and just walked off the field I would have a problem with that.

Like I said he owes us and the media nothing.....

Just showing his true colors. Nicest guy in the room when things go his way. Let's not forget that he was kicked out of school for stealing and is a recruiting cheat

Of course you're wrong but don't let facts get in the way. He does owe us and the media. Read the NFL contract. Nothing worse than an apologist. Cam acted like a spoiled brat and he deserves to be roasted for it. He's a we yr old man. Grow up.

Great story...but Cam acted like a child. No matter...

...his background or all the odds he beat. Don't care about the back story. Not into providing an excuse for his behavior. Guy is paid millions of dollars, but couldn't be a professional and see the interviews through.

If he had done so, he wouldn't be catching the heck he is now. It's really very simple.
