I was thinking the same thing. Coaches have to find a way to put him in a better position to. E successful. I hope this sort of game, coupled with last week, doesn’t ruin his confidence.

I agree. But corners have to have short memories, right?
I remember one of our best DBs ever, Terrell, getting shredded in the NCG. He might be one of the best CBs in the NFL currently.

Being burnt often in this game will hopefully drive him to put in the work and be a great db as the year goes on.. it’s not often we get freshman dbs to stand out first year.. Makuba freshman year want be every five/four star dbs experience

For people like you and me, I agree. For a talented athlete that is coachable, he learns A LOT from the experience.

They at least need to give him some safety help. Roll the coverage to his side more, Wakes not committing to the run game so give the fella some kind of help he's drowning back there.

you can not let them get behind you and stay in phase. it isnt rocket science. or at lease hustle and make the attempt. If I was wake I'd throw at him every play till he stops them
