I think TE is the right move for UVA

With it seeming all but confirmed TE is going to UVA I'll add that I think its a great hire. Being a head coach is an entire different animal than an assistant. You have to build a culture, run a staff, and be one of the faces of a university. It's as much a salesman/politician job as a football job and everything I've heard and seen about Coach Elliot leads me to believe he'll succeed at all of those things.

If he builds a good staff around him UVA, and based on what UVA has, Virginia could become a strong contender in the Coastal in only a couple of years.

Of course this prediction means nothing if he's not actually UVA's next coach

seems to be a VERY nice guy. Maybe a little on the too reserved side? Will have have the cajones to stand up to outside elements (or worse, inside ones) when they try to tell him how to run his program? Stand by, sit by, or just go to sleep in the same house as your computers. :)

That *nice guy* fits with UVA. Winning is secondary to them as long as the coach is a class act. TE is a class act AND will win enough for them.

I'd agree with that. One of the things working for Tony is that it doesn't seem like there's a lot of expectations for him to win big right away. He'll have time to get his staff right and convince the university to put more focus on football.

I love TE and BV to death…Outstanding human beings and we were absolutely lucky to have had them…with that said..:.they’ll will both be looking for coordinator jobs in 4-45 years.
